Vicksburg DU banquet will be held Nov 8th at the Vicksburg City Auditorium. Doors open @ 5:30 dinner @ 6:30
Ribeye Steak dinner and plenty of fun.

That's NOT the spirit! For the cost, membership and a ribeye dinner, how can you go wrong. Get on the committe and help make it better instead of complaining!

Kealhofer,
If you have been disappointed let me or one of the committe members know what was wrong. We don't always get things right but I will do all I can to fix something if it is brought to my attention. Thats the only way we can make it better!

I am still a DU member as well as DW, CCA, and others. I get up at 3:30 to go to work so having it on a week night is the biggest problem to me. I use to go to some of the smaller ones b/f they were canceled. I bought several prints for a decent price at Port Gibson, but some of the stuff goes for a crazy price at the larger venues. I guess I need to get a job that does not require me to get up so early and make more money to be able to bid with the high rollers.

Never heard of a DU banquet that wasn't on a weeknight. Did they do them on the weekends in the past??

I don't know, but I believe more people would go on a Friday night. It may be harder to stop the party on a weekend though.

The reason we have it on a Thursday night is most people are heading to their deer camps or headed to a Football game on Friday nights.
