:D Hello Delta Duck-
What's happening your way? Any sign of duck this A.M.? I had to stay and keep things on a even keel at home. Putting the "honey dues" in today so I can play "tomorrow".
Saw a post where you said your trying to complete getting your cotton in on Monday. Hope the rain coorperates with you, but I know everyone is hoping for rain to avoid extensive pumping.
Most of my group is in the Cleveland area hunting this weekend. I'm about to bust, but this is time well spent at home. I have a feeling it will be better to take my hunting days later and do the honey dues now. Don't get the wrong idea, I'm not totally 'hen pecked", but I spend a great deal of weekend time in the Spring and Fall at AKC and UKC hunt test. I'm almost a stranger to my neighbors. Wonderful wife does not ask much but when she does -I listen!
Funny story but true: a local "big time sportsman" fisherman, turkey, deer, duck, coastal fisherman, you get the idea. He was planning one of his normal trips away from home. Wife asked him to stay home that weekend. Mild warm discussion followed to which wife summed up her postion with- "there's going to be some major f..... going on at ...... (address) and if your going to be part of it you had better stay at home". Within a year the couple was divorced. Now in addition to multiple college tuitions and related cost, he has two house payment, and two households to maintain. Yes he's still a sportsman, but not at the same level.
Conclusion- don't take your retriever early Teal hunting in South Lousianna. Keeping the home fires at an even burn sure makes both seasons (hunting and holiday) better for everyone. [/u]
