Troy used to sell an unpolished acrylic version of the same call for $75. I ain't sayin....I'm just sayin. Troy makes really nice looking calls. For me, these calls are like a high maintainence chick in a bar, I'd hit it, but it ain't moving in with me, 'cause we ain't gonna get along. Some guys on the west coast just love these and Joe Lares calls, but I have never been able to cozy up to them, especially the Lares. YMMV.

I think he still sells those "plain jane" calls.... I used to have one...it went the way of my "Dead Ringer" though (i got rid of it).... just couldn't quite get it to sound the way I wanted...probably just the guy running it though.....

Why they're just darlin', honey. Howevah, what cha'll goona shot usin' that thang, 'Gay' Drakes?

Oh, I can see it now. the mallard equivalent to hairdressers and interior designers filling the morning sky. Blocking out the majestic reds of first light with lavender and periwinkle feathers properly preened to make the hens jealous. All we need now is to get in the yellow DU 'corn' boat from another post, paint our shotguns powderpuff pink, and blow real hard.

Man, I'll shoot pink mallards. Lavender or any other color. Beats pretty sunrises and the smell of coffee and good friends. :D :D :D
