I was told by good source that they wanted to do a mock to make sure they knew what they were into.They are still not sure of somethings what ever that maybe. I was told this was going to be an official commission meeting and the public was invited.

They need to do it at 4 in the morning with a whole crowd of people to really see how it will work.

Per email from Kevin Brunke...

-As of right now, we are planning on walking the Commission and others through the draw process.
-They approved what was proposed for Mahannah at the last Commission meeting.
-When an agenda is drafted, it will be posted at the following link:
http://www.mdwfp.com/homelinks/edadmin/minutes.asp
-The next Commission meeting will be held at Mahannah on October 31.
-If someone wants to speak at the commission meeting, they can call Sally Sutherland at 601-432-2009 to be put on the agenda.
-If someone wants to show up and speak with Me, Havens, or Fleeman about Mahannah, we will probably all be there.

On a Wed. Would have to burn a vacation day. Wonder if it would actually help. Some "field" hunters that have riggged to overcome the challenges of the crowds and openness of the area and still be successful need to raise some voices! Does not compute! Too late. You're outa here!

Draw is done. Does look like if you show up, except for the openers, prolly get to hunt but where? Why don't they draw x numbers and let'em go where they want! Shesh! They don't know how to back up...maybe some letters and emails got'em thinking but too far along for real sensibility. They're down to the nuts and bolts of the hand holding process. Maybe there's some more worthwhile stuff on the agenda too?

THe only draws I have been apart of first you draw for pick selection order then you pick the hole you want to go to in order of the number you drew.
Will Mahanna have X number of holes that will be hunted each day?
Meaning they will have a number nailed to a tree in or in the field and that is where you hunt. Are do you line up in oreder on the dirt road and then they wave the flag.
Like at Otter Slough I thinks there is 20 some odd holes and once those that were drawn pick their hole the standby list picks in order till full.

Draw=clusterfock.
