The hunter who got his truck stolen, with his dog inside, found his truck. He had a $40,000 truck and $20,000 worth of shotguns, cameras, and assorted hunting gear. His truck was found in a housing project. The door locks were broken, the steering column had been cracked open and Wednesday night's rain had flooded the interior through the open windows. Jaeger didn't care. His heart was racing, thanks to the barking coming from the pickup bed. Moto was in there happy to see his master. None of the guns or cameras and stuff were stolen, because they figured the thieves were afraid of Moto. Some of them Chesapeake retrievers are bad. Jack

That is good news! I can't blame those thieves, either, for not wanting to go in that camper. I've heard a Chessie bark when they are mad. Sounds like Hell in a 50 gallon drum! Kinda wish they had tried, though!

I would like to know what kind of hunting gear totals up to 20K? Sheesh, my 870's worth maybe 300.00, can't have over 500.00 worth of clothes, and equipment...how many dekes do you have to have to make up the 19K? If they stole my truck they'd bring it back.

Bob Marshall's $20K number is inaccurate, and we do not know where that number originated. Actually, there was a camera stolen as well as a laptop and other assorted items that to me indicated kids rather than pros were involved. The outcome in this situation could have easily been far different and much more tragic.

It is a damn shame that he didn't have a doberman or rotweiler in that truck.....I am happy that he got his dog back....the rest of the stuff is easily replaced.

i'd rather the thief to deal with me......{in open court}
now how did Judge Roy Bean put it????? it is a damn sight that you will never see another change of seasons,, because it is the order of this court that you be taken to the nearest tree and hanged from your neck until you are dead, dead, dead.......
