We got blasted in Oxford tonight

Postby Bluesky » Sun Nov 10, 2002 11:52 pm

Man, talk about bad weather!! It came quick, and it hit hard. Several tree's down blocking roads! Lines where down everywhere! after the storm came through, we got in the car and rode around, only about 20% of the town had power. Thing's are coming around now though! Worst news I have heard was that an Oak tree fell on some cars at Sorority row. I also heard a house caght fire from lightning. Well, ready to see the damage tomorrow am in the light.

I heard a tornado landed slap dab in the middle of Vaught-Heminghway Stadium, but I can't confirm that.

We're catching it now in B'ham but it looks like we'll get through ok. There were fatalities northwest of us towards Jasper. My parents had a lot of rain in Starkville but seemed to be ok.

Yeah a tornado did land on the field, it tore up the turf from the endzone to the 20 on both ends, since ole miss can only tear up the turf from 20 to 20.

It should be a very equally matched game, since both team suck this year.

Hope all you guys are OK. It was rough last night in N.GA, too..a couple of fatalities in a trailer, from what I hear. I went to the game Sat. in Athens. It was pretty ugly in the second half. The Rebels need a running game to help Eli do his thing, for sure. The defensive line just laid their ears back and went after him and just forgot the run. The Egg Bowl ought to be interesting, in a perverted kind of way. Might be a case of who "out sorries" the other one! So what do you boys think, will this be the swan song for Jackie? Please, please, please...!

If cars were hit on sorority row, this should give you a perfect opportunity to give those pretty Ole Miss girls a ride to class!!! 8)

Uh oh, looks like these two followed right in Joe Gunn's footsteps..........

Violating team rules, no mention of what rules!
OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss head football coach David Cutcliffe announced Monday that running back Robert Williams and wide receiver Trey Fryfogle are no longer a part of the Rebel football program.

"Robert Williams and Trey Fryfogle have been dismissed from the squad due to violation of team policy," Cutcliffe said.

I hate UM as much as anybody, but I don't wish a tornado on them. Good luck on the cleanup.

Them boys in Starkvegas always keep up with who gets kicked off the teams cause it is a weekly occurence at MSU. But they usually have to leave the team to sere jail time (counterfit money).

Just picking with ya but until Sherrel is gone there will be no order on a bulldog football team.

Egg bowl should be interesting though. The battle of suck is most likely the only bowl either team will see. But hey that just means that we dont have ot watch football around new years and we can all concentrate on killing ducks.

They followed in Joe Smokin' Gunn's footsteps by failing the drug test last week. Gunn failed it a couple of times, but was kept on the football team cuz he's all they had in the backfield at that time.
