There are just too many good ones out there. I think i have it narrowed down to the Black Ice or Liberty by Diamond (used) or the Mathews switchback of Switch xt (used). Nothing against any others just prefer those.

buy from whichever has the better pro-shop in your area.... when i lived up there i did my own work on a bow...so i couldn't help you there...but a good pro-shop is the difference maker for sure..... buying used you won't have that benefit though....

agree with gordon, but also, buy the bow that you feel the most comfortable with..... all the ones you listed are good bows and will kill deer. Some things to ask, is the mathews extra price going to make you a better hunter ? ie. will you have more confidence with it, etc. If so, then spend the extra $ on it if you have the money to spend. If you're buying it just for the name, the diamond will kill a deer just as dead...... again, shoot them all, and get the one you're the most comfortable with.

I've shot a Hoyt all my life and shot the new Mathews Drenaline the other day and gotta have it. I got a new Hoyt a year ago and the new Mathews blew it away IMO. I'd try it out if given the opportunity.

I went and shot the new hoyts, the new drenalin, switchback and switchback xt. Walked out with the switchback xt. It is a bad dude. The hoyt vetrix (sp?) shot better than the drinalin, but louder and heavier. The switchback xt shot better than both IMHO.

I'm gonna toss a new one in for consideration, try the new PSE X Force, rigged out with hunting arrows and a hunting style rest, ect you'll still be shooting over 300 fps, and thats the truth!
