If I remember correctly I leave mine at the camp when the temp gets into the teens. Her vest gets like a piece if tin around her, and she cuts herself up pretty good trying to re-break the thick ice (cuts around the mouth and legs). Belle is older and has displasia(spelling?) and is also pretty HEALTHY, forthose who know her, and one really, really hard day of hunting will lay her up for two or three days later. I hate to see her hurting at home so I usually don't bring her if it deathly cold.
Last year I don't think she missed a day.? She will never tell me that she has had enough, she will go until the end, so some times mean ole dad needs to make the decision.

...so any way, that's my 2cents.
easy...easy...TAKE EM'!...BACK!...Good Girl.
