Game Camera Question

I've had a game camera out for a month and a half or so. I've pulled the card twice and have tons of pics, but all but a couple are of does. I hunted this area pretty hard last year and must have let 8 or 10 young bucks walk so I feel certain some or all are still at least in the area. Frankly, I'm a little concerned over not having gotten pics of more bucks at this point. Our buck/doe ratio is admittedly out of whack because we hunt on family land, are lazy, and just don't shoot does like we should. Still, I expected to get more pics of antlers than I have. Has anyone experienced this? I keep telling myself that the bucks must not be moving around much right now, since the woods are so green from the July rains and there is so much easy food.

I had a camera out at one of my places last year that took around 100 pictures, of which only 1 was of a buck. During the season, I saw bucks, and had lots of buck pictures, so I wouldn't take too much out of it.

Thanks for the replies. That is what I was figuring. I'm using a Moultrie camera I got from Bass Pro. Not sure of the exact model, but its pretty cheap ($100) and has done well so far.

Digital StealthCam. 8) $199.00 3.0 megapix. $149.00 2.0 megapix

The 2 you mentioned are about the same I think. I own a Leaf River. Good pixs, but too expensive a camera, IMO.

Stealth is out. Had two of them in the past and they were battery eating pieces of crap. One burnt up, and the other is just crap. No way that company gets anymore of my dollars.

In my opinion you should be getting some buck pics. Move your camera I am getting pics with 9 bucks in it at a time.

I agree with PW, 80% of the pics we take are bucks. You probaly just need to move the camera, bucks and does are usually not in the same place this time of year.
