Postby kc86 » Mon Jul 30, 2007 1:48 pm

Hey just wondering if anyone knows where you can sign up for the draw hunts in Ms. A friend of mine was telling me about them, but does not remember where or how to sign up??

All of the days have been taken for the next two seasons.

I heard that MDWFP had closed WMAs pending a study on the draw system.

I think you are confused with Delbert Hoseman getting the three year lease of Malmaison.

I still can't believe all that land is leased up now

I would rather see Hoseman get it than it turn to a draw.

Kc86, I hope your not looking for an answer to that question on here!!!! Cause you WON'T get it. THink about it, the less permits, the more chance we get at a hunt!!

It's sad that the number submitting for drawn hunts has skyrocketed the last few years. Who is out there spreading the word and why? If you gonna hunt public land, research and scout like the rest of us. If you got info keep your mouth shut.

Sportsman, it is not us that is skyrocketing the # of apps for drawn hunts. I was talking to some game warden's and he said there is astronomical amount of PETA people that put their names in the drawings. One person may fill out apps for his entire family and all their friends. That is why when you show up for a drawn hunt and there are supposed be 20 hunting permits there that day you only have 8 or 10 show!! THAT is our main problem.

PETA does the exact same thing to limited tundra swan tags in NC, making it increasingly difficult to get drawn.
