4 hits and 3 of 4 runs scored against my eagles in the regional game? Maybe there is something to this kid. I am not generally a rebel fan but it is hard to root against this kid. I spoke with his mama the other night and she was telling me how much fun he is having this year. All the pressure of living up to his older brother's stellar reputation AND trying to learn a whole new position as well as moving up to division 1 NCAA and the kid took everything in stride and went out and had fun. I can't say enough good about him and how he deserves every reward that comes his way.
And by the way that Pitcher the Rebs threw out there had an amazing night too. I hadn't seen anyone so unhittable since Smoltz was a closer.
The two teams will see each other again though battling for the championship of the regional.
