Perhaps my standards are too high...

but, I have lived in Rankin County (Flowood) for close to a year now and recall very few sales or service organizations that IMO do a good job.
Among those I have dealt with that I will very likely never deal with again are:
Gray Daniels Toyota
Comfort Experts
Serv Pro of Brandon
Capitol Body Shop
Gateway Auto Repair
Midway Heating Cooling and Appliance
The Clarion Ledger
Comcast
Among those that I have had positive experiences with are:
Lakeland Marine
Boyt Usury Honda
Don Davis Chevrolet (Pelahatchie)
Trustmark
Perhaps I am on a terrific string of misfortune or perhaps there are fewer and fewer that actually take pride in the job they do. Anyhoo just needed to vent a bit. Maybe the powers that be could a "Consumer Reports" forum??or maybe I should put in the soap box forum (although not sure anyone actually visits there)
BTW dont mean to imply it has anything to do with Rankin County, I guess being from a smaller town I thought more competition among a larger population would mean better service

I have dealt with Gateway for 10 years or so. Never had a complaint. What happened? You can pm me for the managers name. I'll bet he would take care of a problem.

I've dealt with Capital Body Shop on several occassions to have work done on my truck. I've never had any trouble out of them. Kenny the auto shop manager has always treated me right. Everyone dislikes Comcast. I disliked Suscom before Comcast bought them. Good luck finding good customer service with a cable company.

I have not dealt with gateway in jackson but the one in starkville will rip someone off in a heartbeat. I would never take my vehicle there.

Comcast.
Since they have bought Suscom, my digital cable w/ highspeed internet bill amount has been increased twice (without adding anything at all to our service, just b/c that's their rate.

)
When I called to ask why it has gone up; as we are not receiving any thing additional, but our bill has increased by 35%, wooba skunks kept answering the phone and then transferring me for nearly an hour until I got in touch with the head woogy. I'm dropping them after this month.
But you're right--no cable co. is going to provide good customer service--but surely dish or direct or somebody will have a descent rate.

Doc I don't believe your standards are too high, I believe that in today's world customer service standards of businesses are too low.

I've never had any trouble with any of those places of business, the doctor. You are the common denominator. Might want to do a little introspective analogy of the situation.....
