I finally paid it off

It feels so good to send in that last payment on a truck.
My exterra is paid off, All mine, Capital One, you can K.M.A. (well, after you send me my title). :D :D

thats something ive never done :oops: always seem that i trade or sale before i pay it off. i might try paying one off oneday

i've never bought a truck that i couldn't pay cash for. Thats probably why i've never had anything with less than 60,000 miles...

I know it's not what you want to hear, but...
after you blow this first month's extra 5 hundred...
start paying yourself that 500 bucks every month, then when you get ready to go buy that super duty, 1860 Express, Engagement rin...scratch that......you won't have to finance it...

it don't do this, but it sounds good.

mine's been paid off since Feb.... paid off the 4-Wheeler a year ago....and the jet ski last summer.... if gas wasn't near $3 a gallon they would qualify as cheap fun....

i agree with SBE-No payment is great, but start paying yourself or a mutual fund that monthyly payment and see how good that feels. As much as I hate Dave Ramsey, this is one good thing he taught me.

everyone that i know that hates Dave Ramsey is in debt up to their ears and dont want him stepping on their toes. Why save and pay cash when you can make notes and ride today or pay 30 years on a house note instead of living in what you can afford.

Paid mine off late last year.. Turned around and put that 500.00 into Mutual funds and college fund for they young un... Its no fun now not having that extra 500.00 bucks laying around. But maybe by the time I retire I can go out and buy that RV I am going to need go visit the kids and travel the country..

Not me brother. I have been SMART for quite some time. I dont like him because he is telling broke(DUMBARSES) people to buy his book. THen he tells them to not spend more than you make. Well no crap. That is why I say he is talking to dumbarses. I listen to him everyday, and it never ceases to amaze me.
Caller: Dave, I am broke and they took my car and are taking my house. I make 30,000 and live in a 500,000 dollar house and have two cars worth 50000. What do I do?
Dave: Have you bought my book?
Caller: Yes, and I attended your seminar.
Dave: Good, now sell your house and cars.
Caller: Wow Dave, you have saved my life. Thanks a bunch

i agree, it amazes me the people that call in to his show and are making a killing and cant buy a sick dog a bean sandwich. If you make 100,000 a year and spend 150,000, you are going the wrong way.

Always pay yourself first. The first check you write each payday should be to your mutal fund or whatever. The cost of living is rising so much that those retirement accounts that you think now are so great might not be so great when you get to retire. I served 26 years in the military and now have a pretty good check coming in each month. I wish I had taken my own advise about 30 years ago and i could be sitting pretty right now. It is hard to realize how quick 20 to 30 years will pass you by and you will be hitting retirement and look up one day and say Damn that was quick. Enjoy life with what you make but make sure you take care of yourself and the family first with a good nest egg. Good luck to all you young guys and don't count of social security.
