Paul Ott Radio Show?

Postby Red_Head » Tue Sep 03, 2002 9:50 am

Is there any truth to what they were talking about last night?

They said that Arkansas shut down the rest of their Dove season because they found to many birds with West Nile. And that Mississippi was expected to do the same by the end of the week.

Does anyone know what this is about?

I only heard part of the show yesterday. Usually they have their facts wrong. Someone also called in because they thought that deer season was also cancelled due to West Nile.

Surely we would have heard about this if Arky closed the season?

I just got back up and running with my puter. I think it had the West Nile. The computer guy said I had over 800 viruses.

Interesting. I didn't hear Paul's show but I began looking after I read your post. Here is the link to the Ark Dept of Wildlife.... http://www.agfc.state.ar.us/ I didn't see anything on there about closing dove season. Maybe it hasn't been posted yet. But this would be a good site to keep checking to find out info.

I talked with the group here in Jackson today and they said there is no plan to stop dove hunting and were unaware that Ark had closed theirs.

I think Ott fell into this one. hehehe
