I hunted with Safari River Outfitters last fall and the hunting, food, lodging and other accomditions were great. I'm booked for the next two years with this outfit. We killed 384 ducks and geese in 4 days of hunting. Also, if you happen to limit out on ducks and geese in the morning, you can get your arm sore from catching pike in the lakes within a few miles from camp. I think we caught and released 40 or 50 pike in a matter of of a few hours. Check out their web site, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Safari River Outfitters.

How about somewhere that does just hunting. I do not really care about all the fancy lodging and food. Just want to hunt.--Ace

Chances are you are not gonna find a big fancy lodge in Central Saskatchewan. It's pretty primative up there.

You can take a 5 day hunting trip with a good Canadian Outfitter for around $3,000 to $4,000. BUT, this includes everything.....the price of the 5 day hunt, lodging, meals and other accomidations. This also includes, airfare, hunting license, passport, car rental and shells (I shot 14 boxes in 4 days). Another thing to consider, the dollar ain't what it use to be in Canada. For instance, a liter of Crown Royal $65. A can of Skoal $10. If you can limit what you have to purchase in Canada, you will save yourself a few hundred bucks.
I will say again, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Safari River outfitters.

I do not post here much, but thought you could answer this for me. I went to Canada last year for three days and had a great hunt. Our guide was strict on possession limits, so once we had it on ducks or geese, we could not shoot anymore.

I have heard some guides give them to local Indian tribes or allow you to ship back your birds.

Do not see the need for a 5 day hunt if all guides are strict on possesion limits as you can fill them in 2-3.

What do you think?

I for one would not want to explain to a Canadian court how come this yankee felt he was allowed to ignore their laws.

Not sure if I understood your post it read to Me your mention why would you pay for a 5 day hunt if you could limit out in 2 or 3 days. Are you saying why pay for 5 days if you can kill the 5 day limit in 2 or 3?

Is that the question?

I think he is talking about total possesion limit, not daily limit. It is a good question as I am planning to go this year. How many can you transport home. We are flying out on Wed and back on Sun.
