Mustain to MSU?

I'm hearing whispers in the wind of Mustain being interested in transferring to Mississippi State. Anyone from within the MSU innner circle hearing anything about this?

IF true, that would be interesting ---perhaps signaling a change in the MSU offense to more of a spread option type offense.

Would be a nice pickup for the Dogs, if true. The Dogs need a QB.

I haven't heard a word......even though I hear hs mom is a real bi#$h to deal with, I would love to have him. I don't remember the last time State had a QB prospect of his caliber......I doubt it will happen, beieve it when I see it.

I haven't heard that one yet. I really don't think we're going to the spread offense anytime soon. Croom would run the ball evertime if we could get 5 yards a pop. and I thats what I like about him.

Isn't there a 2 year rule for transferring inside the SEC in football??? If that is the case, Mustain will be a senior with 1 year left to play 1, unless they can get him a redshirt year????? Either way, after sitting for 2 years?

I think Arkansas can restrict him from signing with a team in the same league.

I think that only applies if the coach is unwilling to grant them a release. My understanding is that Nutt had already granted one, though.

I must say this is the first I have heard of him coming to 'Vegas.

He's gone from picking his schoolwhen he first quit to MS?U, thats funny right there and I feel for MSU when they play the Hogs, he's a marked man. Herring will kill him Most former teammates don't like the " aloof " one. Remeber Mom as recently as two weeks ago refers to him as a child, and he'll need her protection. She'll bitch about her tickets and for goodness sake make sure your a "Nike" school because that congenial condition of his requires nikes not adidas. Other than that, the boy has upside if he stops worrying about whos out to get him.

Try a nearly perfect one to one td to int ratio, but that didn't have anything to do with him getting benched according to Momma and the Springdale Army. Try taing snaps away for Casey during bowl practice to give Mustain another shot cause he was so wrongly bench. If I hear he was 8-0 as a starter again I'm going to puke, those asses don't even mention Darren McFadden having more to do with that than anything.

Mitch Mustain hands the ball off well.

Again, at one time his mechanics were impeccable, that was about the time he was recieve private instructions during the summer by David Lee while in hs. Nutt tries to get Lee to come back and help the boy out and Malzahn throws a fit and leaves to Tulsa so he can have conpete control. You ever heard a HC giving up complete control to a first time college caoch, well Malzahn sure thinks he shoulda. Sumbitch, every Tues the staff had a meeting on the offense, a play list was created using input from the all the coaches, Malzahn put in about 20 to 30 percent of the plays the rest were Nutt's and the rest of the staffs recomendations, On game day Malzahn called nearly 99 percent of the plays, the HC, giving hes the frickin hc, would request a play hear and there. Lot of trust for a high school coach, but you look at the end of the LSU game and there you have high school showing up on the field. But, I degress. Mitch runs when "father Figure' bolts cause he doesn't want to share a title. Realizes he fricked up cause there not enough time to transfer, and re-enrolls in the school he's scorned. Nutt denied the transfers, told him to wait till after spring ball tells him what the hell would that hurt,if he doesn't like it still, he'll have a full release after spring ball to pursue his options, all that said in front of Mitch and get this his youth minister that had tagged along. But no......... Momma gets wind of this and throws a hissy Nutt gives up trying to talk sense and gives him his release later that afternoon. That email is a joke, hEll, Robert Johnson got far worse after the USC game from the stupid fricks that populate this state, even some of the boosters, hell this gal even took shots at Hillis in one of her rants. Hillis is tight with the Nutt. Good grief, at one pont Hillis was dropping out had got two differnt girls pregnant and had to go to the draft to pay the bills. Truth was he had a very serious complication to his deep theigh bruise that cause calium deposits to form in his muscle. It hadn't been seen by the trainer since the 70's, He may still miss some of spring ball but they think that they got in under control.

I never though having a ten win season meant the damn sky was falling, only in Ark, and well, Bama.

He's received his outright release, so he can go where he wants.
