It is almost an afterthought to hard fought Championship games. The "talking heads" of tv/radio sports said he could not win a Championship!

Now begins the Pro-Peyton campaign to win the real big game. Hopefully he does it too!

Tony Dungee is a class act. HE should be the story not Payton. Payton stumbled his way in after a horrible first half. Dungee again got a team to that level. He is an amazing coach and one of the real good guys in sports.

Stumbled his way in huh. That was the biggest comeback ever in a championship game must be just stumbling back in. I guess those two 76 yard back to back drives for TD's were stumbling back in.

Vicksburgbob, I agree entirely with you about Dungee, but in no way can you underscore what Peyton did in the second half to not only get them back in the game, but win it. Everyone, except the special teams did their part. Heard the oddsmakers had the Colts favored by 7.

Well, a LOT of the so-called NFL football experts and pundits who love criticizing the Mannings will have a full plate of crow to eat in the event the Colts win the Super Bowl. And I can't wait to watch and listen to all the squirming and spin doctoring revisionist history they will lay on us to convince us they really weren't wrong or were actually on the Peyton bandwagon all along.

Go Colts!!!!
Could the real reason that the Colts have never made it to the Super Bowl before (with Manning at QB) be lack of defense, as opposed to Peyton choking?? And could defense actually be the key to championships in the NFL?? Could the fact that the Super Bowl recently often pits two great defenses against each other, with each team often having only average QBs, be a clue to the answer to these questions? IS Grossman really better than Brees? Or does Grossman happen to play for a team that plays great defense? Nahhhh. Such a theory appears too logical, and is not antagonistic enough to get much attention.

vicksburgbob...you are an conf usa idiot!!
I am a VOL fan but Peyton is a great qb and he is a class act.
Dungy is also a class act and everyone knows they both deserved this win. Everyone says Peyton can't win the big one, it takes more than a qb to win the big games. But you don't put two drives together like he did and stumble his way in.
Give us a break. Do you realized there will be two qb from the SEC facing each other in the Super Bowl. Who will you pull for??

Payton stumbled his way in after a horrible first half.
For someone to say that they are either 1) on dope or 2) drunk and in denial.

First question: Is this the first time two SEC quarterbacks have played against each other in a Superbowl? I think it is, but I'm not sure.
Second question: Since Grossman is from Florida, will the old Florida curse bite Manning again?
