I didn't listen to the game, nor have I read anything about it, but I did hear that Ole Miss only had two free throw attempts in a 7 point loss to LSU in BR last night. Even as an LSU fan, I have to admit that something is not right when a team only shoots two free throws. Sounds like the zebras preferred purple and gold last night. :?

As an ole miss fan, and admittedly biased, I think we got "home cooked".

But, our coach did not blame the loss on the fouls called or not called. In his post-game comments, he put the blame squarely on our team for playing without enough intensity, missing lots of easy shots, taking poor shots, turning down high percentage shots, etc. I think AK realizes that the Rebs are close to being able to win some SEC games, and is trying to challenge his team to step up and take what is there to take. Prior to this game, his public comments always seemed positive and designed to build the team up. I think he is making a deliberate shift in psychological strategy now. After watching this team several times now, there is no doubt that this team has the ability and potential to win ---this season. But, overcoming 3 straight losing seasons and a losing mentality is the challenge.

There has really been alot of that. I know for a fact it was that way when State went to UT, and UT got the shaft at AU last nite. I also heard that there were only like two road wins in SEC play so far as of this weekend. Maybe we have discovered why.

BTW, where was this home cooking at the Hump last Wednesday? :D

Last night reeked of a Rod Barnes team/game with Ole Miss not getting to the free throw line and the other team getting there every other possesion due to Ole Miss' lack talent. Also, the whopping 55 points was very Barnes-esque. While I like AK and think he will eventually be successful at Ole Miss, this team still has too much Rod in it to be worth a darn this year. I like their effort and spunk, but it just ain't gonna happen this year.
