KILLED MY FIRST BANDED DUCK THIS WEEKEND. NEED SUGGESTIONS ON BEST MOUNT. PICS APPRECIATED.

For me there would be two options, one would be to get him standing on a faux mud/water deal so you could easily see the jewlrey. If you haven't ever seen what I am talking about, they look really really nice, and I almost think it's the way to go in mounting a duck. The second way would be flying cupped up feet down, maybe floating through a tree branch (since he was in timber) so you could see the jewls.

I agree on the cupped feet down. It looks great and shows off the jewels without being obvious.

There is a guy in Brandon, MS that does an unbelievable job. All he does is birds. His name is Tommy Lovelace. I have his card if you would like his number. Also, he advised me to put my ducks in a "Food Savor" plastic bag and get the bag snugg on the bird but don't suck it all the way down on the bird tight. It will keep for years this way.

i had a redhead mounted last year by a fellow from terry, ms. his name was dan heasley. it was the best mount i ever had done and the price was very reasonable. he had a photo album with several different mounts for me to choose from.

Shoot a hen. Get them mounted as if they are copulating.

Have him kicking one foot off to a side as if to say "Hey look at me. Not only am I getting some but I've got bling as well."

i would definitely go cupped... ask all of ur hunting buddies what taxidermist they go to... some guys dont do it right and it will start to rot some so choose carefully

i agree tommy lovelace is the best guy ive gone to but he had a pintail mount on his back door of his shop not too long ago that was incredible it would do the jewelry all the justice in the world ill try and get the pic
