using a small cooler helps. You buy heaters and heated bowls.

I had a problem with my heated dog bowl because my dog kept trying to chew it up because it was plastic-- I bought a stainless steel water bucket and then filled the heated bowl with water then put the steel bucket in the plastic one -- the water around the metal bucket keeps it warm enough so the water doesn't freeze -- wasn't sure how good it would work but it just recently got down to 12 degrees and it worked like a charm and no chewing on the bucket

Yeah. the dogs come inside. A crate in a landury room or garage is best way I know to keep poochs water from freezing. Bring him in at night, put him out during the day. travis
