Boiled Peanuts

Postby Dutch Dog » Mon Nov 20, 2006 4:55 pm

My GF is coming in town this weekend and she says she loves boiled peanuts. Use to get them all the time in Atlanta....where do we find em around N Mississippi?

Man there are all kinds of people selling them on the side of the road green. Go buy you a bag and cook them yourself. They will be much better than store bought.--Ace

Recipe? That's it crab boil. It is far more useful than most people think. They turn out more salty than hot but have a real good flavor.

I also use crab boil to soak my jerky strips in before I smoke them. Talk about good jerky perfect mix of salt and spice.

Also put some crab boil in your injector if you are frying a turkey this Thanksgiving. Like Grommet said, doesn't burn your mouth, but gives it a really good flavor.

I cook mine in crock pot for at least 8 to 12 hours on high. You need the raw peanuts and a full cup of salt then keep them full of water and let them boil.
