A buddy of mine's 8 yr old son killed his 1st deer yesterday afternoon. It was a doe that weighed about 80 lbs. He shot it in a green field around 5 pm at about 70 yds. Shot was a touch far back, but the deer dropped dead in its tracks. He was talking about now its time to kill a big buck...I told him to let him hunt...he's only 8...let him kill a few more does, and/or small bucks...just whatever walks out. You (in my opinion) should let the kid have fun. He'll grow into wanting to kill a big buck, and he needs to let that progress naturally and not force it on him.

Yea same hear had people walking under me all day. Me and a buddy took food in with us and we stayed in the stand from daylight to dark, and I had fools walking all around and even under me and never seen me.

Saw 2 decent 8 points this wked....not quite big enough for me.

My buddy has 2 different pictures of a Wolf-looking 'yote...meaning a long, full body (about 60-70 lbs. worth), and real pointy ears and nose. One pic is up close and personal.

If i kill it he's going to the TaxiMan..... 8)

Doe sat afternoon, 160 yd neck shot. Lucky is all i have to say.

Sunday morning, cold, 800 i got down to walk, spotted 3 does way off in some cut over. Swung wide to intercept them on their path. The didn't come the way i thought they would. Started a stalk on them and found them. This was the stuff books are written about. A perfect spot and stalk.

I jerked a 50 yd broad side shot and missed the whole deer. I guess i used all my luck up sat. afternoon.

Not real sure what a deer looks like. Have been hunting four times, still not seen a deer. Feel sorry for the first one that walks out in front of me.--Ace
