All i have right now is about 70lbs of cotton in a bag. Went out and shot my bow and the arrows would have went straight throw if i had not put up my carport welcome mat behind it. any suggestions

Several years ago, I got a cardboard box and filled it up with some carpet. Arrow didn't penetrate 6-8 inches at best...now that was SEVERAL years ago and I bet the bow wasn't shooting 220 fps, and I wasn't shooting broadheads.

bag

i would get a block for sure.. almost all the other targets i have used (especially the layered ones) will tear up after shooting a broadhead threw it.
