Anyone got any good ideas on lay down blinds. Cabelas has got them for like 300 bucks, and I think that is a little steep for what I am looking for. I saw one in Macks for like 150 bucks, but it was backordered. I was just looking for a plastice sled or coffin(sp?) type design that you could move fairly easy. I wanted plastic because I might put it in like an inch of water, and it would be nice to stay dry. Any ideas?

Whut we always used goose hunting and occasionally duck hunting, is kids toy sleds. Got a bunch of powerranger sleds at toys are us, $5 a peice. Throw yur stuff in them, and slide it across field. Lay in sled, keeps back dry in mud, and keeps you a lot warmer than laying on frozen ground. Cover with grass mats, or burlap, a few deeks on the burlap with you, or some flyer decoys above you, really help hide you.

Those kick open blinds look neat. But in reality, if you got one and yur buds dont, you still cant hunt anywhere they cant. Whos got 2 grand to buy a set of 5, but plastic sleds and burlap is CHEAP.

Look at other thread for info bout coffins. One wurd, riverside. travis

Thanks guys, that is exactly what I was talking about. I am headed to Toys R Us today to check out some sleds. I can get some burlap from some of the local stores here. Thanks again.

The goose coffin seems easier to handle, and a helluva lot cheaper. I will only use it a few times a year. Looks great, thanks.

Anybody got any ideas where I can get a plastic sled. I went to Toys R Us and they didn't have any. It doesn't matter what color, I can't paint them, and they will be covered with Burlap. I can make a little back rest for them. I just don't know where to get a sled in August.

FEED CALL: WE MADE SOME LAST YEAR OUT OF 1"1/2 MUFFLER PIPE. COVERED THE PIPE SKELETON WITH FISH NET. THE BLIND FELT LIKE LAYING IN A HAMMOCK. BOUGHT SOME FAST GRASS TO COVER UP WITH. WORKED REAL WELL IN RICE FIELDS
