Summary:
Total: 28 signees, with 2 of them re-signs. 15 still on team. 7 starters. With the many defections and some no-shows, this first signing class by Coach O was disappointing. But, his retention rate appears to be better than any of Cut's last 3 classes, with about a month on the job. Cut was fired after 6 years on the job. He had 3 years to set up those last 3 classes, including the best college QB on his team and a Cotton Bowl trip in '03.
BTW, this signee list does not include Ben Jarvis Green Ellis, who transferred to UM in '05 from Indiana, practiced but sat out of games for the '05 season due to transfer rules, and now is UM's starting TB.
