I heard Bowden called to see if he wanted to transfer to FSU any truth to that....
Seriously...if Christensen can kick off why can't he kick extra points?

Didn't Tiffin's dad kick for bama, and contributes big to the program now?
If that is true then that is the reason for him kicking instead of Christenson.

Yeah...Monte was a big hero in 86 if I've got my years straight...but still, Christensen was a Groza finalist last year wasn't he? Not that strong on Bama football, but you gotta put the guys on the field that give you the best chance to win..... Wins are worth more than keeping a few Alumni happy...Hell Ray Goff did that at UGA and he dug a hole so deep we didn't come out of it until 5 years ago.....

It all depends on how much money they have.
If you have a kid who has a parent putting big money into the program, and then you have a kid with a parent putting in nothing. The money will win out everytime.
I'm not saying that it is right but that is the way it is
Like they say, "money talks."

Yeah. Thats the reason.
No wait, its because his dad played with Shula in 85.
Thats it.

I thought it was because Shula wanted a good deal on an RV.

Yeah, Shula and our Special Teams coach both deserve Bonehead awards.
I can assure you that Christenson will be kicking on Sat. Now, let's say he's steps on the field for a 37 yarder in the first quarter and misses. Doooooohhhhhhh. Hope it don't happen.

look I've been around college football all my life and even tried to play 1AA ball before I got hurt...and I can tell you one thing there are VERY VERY few boosters that can buy their kids a starting position on a Div. 1 team (a jersey and mop up duty is a different story...maybe even a few plays here and there but not starting)...it takes a LOT of money to get their attention.... The buddy theory has more legs than that, and being ex-teammates with the coach can weigh things in your favor....
Either way sure it happens every now and then but if Shula is starting a kicker for either of those reasons he isn't worried enough about his job.....

Christenson was money last year, heck he had $$$ in his socks everytime he kicked.
I haven't heard what's wrong with him, but he's got to be better than Tiffin.

Jamie was good last year in the clutch kicks, but if you look at his overall number they where not that good. Tiffin has looked really good all year until the arkie game. I beleive that is why he was starting. But those where clutch kicks and if jamie is clutch he should have been in there.

For you Miss guys that don't know....
Tiffin's Grandfather owns a RV business(Tiffin Motor Homes) that makes SUPER high end RV's. We get the TV commercials over here all the time and they always feature SEC team Mascots driving the RV.
He is evidently a BIG SEC supporter.

Other than a Col. Reb, Voulenteer or a Commadore, I do NOT want to be on the road with a gamecock, pig, wildcat, bulldog, gator, or even a tiger driving a bigassed RV!

Wouldn't a "red" tide just flood the thing and make a mess??
