How much worse can it get?

I don't know, but its pretty damned bad right now.
We have closet USM fans coming out and talking smack (despite no win over a ranked team since Bret Favre was their QB ---he is about to retire from the NFL); Big Gumbo is talking smack about everyone; I was heckled and taunted by Wake Forest fans (the Apocolypse is near

); massive amounts of alcohol cannot even make my Rebs look good; all either UM or MSU has to hang their hats on this season so far is a single win over a Conf USA team (not sure what that says about Conf USA

); Wingnutt at Auburn is smirking and winning every week, rubbing salt in old wounds; the two head coaches at Mississippi's two SEC schools appear as lost as a goose in a snowstorm right now, with at least a foot in the coaching grave; the situation at UM is so bad on the interior lines on both sides of the ball, that it is beyond any quick fix by anyone; etc, etc, etc.
I feel like I am in college football hell right now.
It is sooooooooooooo time for duck season to get here.

Amen to that!
We could lose to Jacksonville St. That would be worse than it currently is. Only good news is we went from not scoring and not winning to scoring and not winning to winning AND scoring. But I'm afraid we'll revert back against West VA. Why in the HE!! did they schedule that school for us????!!!!!!

Po Monk, I think that back in the early spring when Ole Miss basketball was stinking it up and the baseball team was off to a slow start, you threw Ole Miss athletics under the bus, in a facetious manner. The baseball team obviously turned around after that. Is this your attempt to revive the football program?
You have to have the sour to know when something is sweet -- ya'll will get it turned around soon enough.

the word i'm hearing from my rebel friends with close connections to the program is ... a lot of turmoil taking place b/w the coaches.. the offense. cord. and O don't see eye to eye..
werner has stated that it was a huge mistake naming schaffer the immediate starter...
schaffer is lazy and does half booty film study... somehow i have no problem seeing schaffer falling asleep in flim study..
ya'll fired cut after one losing season.. will the same fate follow O if he only wins 2 games this year??

I'm trying everything and anything Delta.
And in response to Bigwater's comments, I think we may indeed see the backup QB, Adams, playing against UGA. I think BS will still get the start (depending upon this week's practice performance), but I also think we will see a quick hook if Brent is playing sloppy again. We just need someone to distribute and protect the football right now, not necessarily a superstar. Adams knows the offense better and can make the basic throws. Brent is not in football shape, does not know the offense as good as he should by now, and is trying to do too much at times --all of which is causing him a good bit of frustration. Having Brent watch from the sidelines a bit might take some pressure off of him, let him see the game better, and make him more effective when he does go in. And it might light a fire under his booty.

Po being from tupelo area you might can shed a little light on this. My dad was telling me about a article in the Daily Journal about schaffer staying??? When was he leaving?

They were talking about him remaining the starter for the UGA game ----Coach O going to stick with Shaeffer. The article had nothing to do with Shaeffer leaving UM.
