This is just a testing the waters message.
Sitting at my desk in the forestry building wondering what the interest in a student chapter in Delta Waterfowl would be? If there is one, great, if there isn't, just wondering if there would be interest in one.

There are several people in Ms. that are in the prosess of trying to form local chapters. Ole Bufflehead in Tupelo, Delta Duck in the Jackson area and me in the Greenwood-Grenada area. If you are interested in trying to get something started on campus, it would be worth your while to attend the Mid-South Hunting and Outdoors show in Greenwood, Sept.13,14,15. at the Leflore County Civic Center. John Deveny of Delta Waterfowl will be there and will be giving a seminar and answering questions about DW. Delta Waterfowl has just come out with there guidelines for forming state and local chapters. If you are interested in starting a campus chapter, please try to attend the outdoors show. Hope to see you there.

I will be there to help out. May try to work in a little dove hunting that weekend as well. I would like to see the interest in Delta really take off. It would be great is chapters in NE MS, NW MS, UM, MSU, the Delta, Central MS, Jackson, South MS , etc could materialize within the next couple of years. I know Jackson and Central MS already have their chapters going. Depending upon the level of interest, we may have to start with chapters encompassing larger geographic areas than would be ideal, just to get the chapters off the ground and running. I look forward to working with some of you to make it happen.

Hey Webfoot, Mallardchaser just informed me that I have miss I.D.ed you as Delta Duck. My apologies, I want to give credit to the right guy. I think that your DeltaDuckHunter site caused the mistaken I.D. You can see how that could happen, couldn't you?

Although I'm not a student at State anymore I would be interested in having a chapter here in Starkville. Come by my office and let me know some more info. By the way, this is Marc Measells. I'm in room 321.

I can reserve Starkville Gun Club for an organizational meeting whenever we can all get together.
I think a Fall fund-raiser/shoot might be in order....whadda ya say?
'Looking forward to meeting other 'Delta' folks, soon.

M.B. Don Miller is going to bring us some information when he is in Starkvegas in a few weeks. I'm going to try to attend the Show in Greenwood in September as well.
Anatidae That sounds good to me. Let's see what all we need to get done first though.
