After 2 games.............

it is clear that this could be another looooooooooooong season for both Ole Miss and MSU. Yet another exciting "wait till next year" season.

While I did not think either State or Ole Miss were headed to the Sugar Bowl this year, I did think that each had a decent chance to win enough games to be bowl eligible (given that we have 12 games in which to win 6). But, the unfortunate surprises have been the pitiful play of UM's defense and MSU's offense. I still can't believe that MSU has not scored a single point, or that UM's defense has given up the amount of yards and points that it has in two nonconference games. Un-f*$&ing-believable! The lack of talent excuse may explain the ineptnes against other SEC power teams, but it should not be an excuse against a Conf. USA team like Memphis.

Someone pour me a drink.

And BTW, it would probably be a good idea to now ignore my lofty (tongue in cheek) pre-season predictions for both MSU and Ole Miss.

By all means please hire the Moral National Championship winning Houston Nutt to guide you to greatness.

I think we could come up with a competitive team if we combine State and Ole Miss......I didn't say championship team, I said competitive. :(

Good idea Stitch......maybe we can include USM as well. If you could combine all three teams, which coaching staff would you choose to lead this "powerful" new machine? I would pick Bower.....

Exactly, and he has won some games against SEC teams before. Maybe he could hire O to recruit for him and Croom to give a yea or nay on their character...they could run the Gulf Coast offense, Jack Crystal and Kellum could swap weekends for the play by play (Crystal would get all home games and bowl games), games would also rotate from campus to campus allowing everyone in the State a chance to see the powerhouse and also help recruiting.............

Well, Tennessee basically had one major football program and they are very competitive. Same thing in Louisiana with LSU. Should work fairly well in Mississippi......just can't figure out what them boys and Arkansas are doing :?

Diluting the gene pool. All those family trees that don't fork has to have a negative impact on potential play-making ability.
