Hunting reports - September 9, 2006

Another pretty sunrise.......
Close, but not quite close enough.........
We had to guess where they would fly-out......I misjudged by 20 yds. If we had been on the other side of the 'gap' in the treeline (40yds farther to the right), we'da been in perfect position. Sometimes you get lucky and guess right. Not today. Still a pretty sight and the approaching honking gets your blood going. I heard'em coming down the chute and picked-up the camera when I realized they were sliding too far to get a shot with the guns.
There'll be another day. It just makes it all the sweeter when you 'DO' get it 'right'.
