A lot of you on this site probably don't even
know who Dizzy Dean wa. Well, to me, he was
the greatest baseball player there was (back
when I was a child). Now, that was a very lone time ago. Anyway, during this time of my child hood we lived a 100 yards or so from
the bus stop. I never did want to go to school. My brother and sister would say "come on Jack, if you don't come on mama
will get a switch. Mama would come out with a switch and I would say "why do I have to go
to school, Dizzy Dean only went to the third
grade". Now 47 years later I still don't want to go to school. School will start in a couple of weeks and this will be my last one. Very strange that someone that did not like school should become a school teacher.
The only thing that will help me through this
last year is the thought of ducks. I think of them in the up coming season and hopefully
in the seasons to come, when I can go on any day that I want to. I hope that each of you
all are looking toward this season as much as
I am. Just an old man rambling on. Have a good weekend and be safe. Jack

Shoot them sprigs on their first pass!

laduck Lets talk about Dizzy.I once either read a book or saw a movie about him. He is one of if not the only pitcher to throw two shout outs in the same day. He is supposed to have pitched a double header. After his baseball days were over he became an announcer and at one time all the mothers wanted him taken off the air because of his grammer, like he slud into second he ain't done nutting all day. You know all kinds of bad english. He was no doubt one of if the best baseball players of all time. He played when players loved the game and love to play now it is all for the all mighty dollar. If the players strike I am through with it.

The Diz, Peewee Reese, and the Old Pro! Ah, yes. Go, go, go for Falstaff. That's my beer! Jack, hope you have a great year! Our new teachers reported today...all 1,251 of them! Yep, we had that many new ones! My Lord, they were young! I'm starting my 24th year..took a few years off to do other duties or this would be my last one, too. I love the school business more today than ever, and I really appreciate you guys who have given your service for a career. Good luck, and here's hoping all your parents are nice to you this year!
