Darby has more rushing yards than anyone in the SEC.

Darby should be fine per the official reports out of Bama.
He suffered a bruised and hyperextended knee during a goal line rushing situational drill when the helmet of the defender tackling Darby made direct contact with his knee. Per the reports, Darby should be back at practice very soon.
I would look for Shula to hold Darby out of any further contact drills for a while to let the knee rest and fully heal.
This is great news that this kid is going to be ok. A serious injury to his knee would have made him the third key offensive player in three straight seasons that went down to injury for the Tide ---- Croyle in '04, Prothro in '05. When the Rebs beat the Tide this season in Tuscaloosa, I want them to be at full strength ---no excuses.

Did they say anything about going to a bowl game this year?

how do you go by what some people say to what is doom for people, Mark May says that alabama has the best offenseive line in the SEC and we have a true freshman working at LT 2 sophomores, a converted DT and a Junior, sounds like doom for every OL in the sec. I really don't care where their backs are ranked because the only team that may have beter backs is UGA. Arkie has two very good rb's and a very good fb but nobody knows how long mcfadden will be out. Auburn has a good but overated rb and no proven talent after that. Ut has foster who seems to be a good back but has not been a starter for a whole year. Darby has rushed for over a 1,000 yards the past two years and did it last year at less than 100 percent behind an average OL. He is not getting any respect and I look for him to be on a mission this year.

They project Bama will be in Memphrica getting their cars stolen and Ark playing in Dallas getting down in style.
On a bright note, Ole Miss to Sheveport.

we (UGA) sure have a lot of talent at RB but we're gonna need it...although Joe Cox is looking more and more like he may be the starter by the time we play Ole Miss....
mshunter...I may be in the minority, but I agree with you about Auburn...Irons did a lot of damage last year, but that was with those dangerous WR's they had...I don't see a WR threat from Auburn right now so folks will be able to put 8 in the box and play the run a bit more often....
I haven't made my call on the SEC cause I haven't even made up my mind...nor have I spent any time really looking at anyone outside of UGA.... I know every team in the SEC will be dangerous....
As far as talent, right now probably LSU, Bama, Auburn, UGA, UF, and maybe UT have the most "talent"...however, programs like Ole Miss, Arkansas, USC and even MSU aren't very far behind...put another way the top teir teams can't expect to have a bad day and pull out a win against anybody else in the SEC...that's just the way it is...the trick is having the fewest bad days....

yes auburn is hurting the WR area, they have a walk on that is now a starter, but sometimes walk-ons turn into really good players. I am sure Richt will have someone playing QB good enough for UGA to be a very good team. Have any UGA receivers stepped up to help Massaqui or however you spell it, i know they have a good TE but they need a deep threat.

We've got enough talent at WR, MoMass (Massaqoui) is probably our best deep threat Harris is pretty good himself...and Martrez Milner is a good possesion TE that can run.... This is gonna be a different year Tereshinski doesn't seem to have the arm strength that UGA has been used to for the past 5 years (not that Greenie had the best arm but it was pretty good)....
I think we need to get more production out of our running game...we have a lot of talent there and should be able to pound the ball a little....
