I heard that chipper is going to be playing with the mississippi brave team this weekend nursing an injury. Has anyone else heard this?

We have tickets for Friday's game and it would not surpise me if both games are not sold out of seating and standing room only right now.

A new record, 7577! Chipper went 0-4 with one strike out. It may have gone 0-3 as the last out he grounded to second, but it moved the runner up to third that was on second. I am not sure how the scorer scored it.

He did hit two hard; one just to the left of straightaway center and 390 feet, but 12 feet too short, and his first at-bat was a flyout to the left fielder, but was hit hard. In his third at-bat he struck out.

Still, it was good to see someone of his talent up close and see the crowd really get into the game.

I do not think Chipper is too worried about these AA pitchers. Tonight he is 3 for 4 with two homeruns and they are only in the eighth inning.

Make that 4 for 5. Chipper just homered AGAIN in the 8th.
