Paul Eels, lonetime Football play by play announcer on the radio and television announcer for basketball has passed away. He was involved in a car wreck near Russelville on I-40. This loss makes the Dmac Toe Fiasco pale in comparision.
I will remember and cherish every "Touchdown Arkansas, Oh my" i've ever heard. I grew up listening to his play by play on the radio at home, in the stands, at the deer camp, and in the duck blind. Its a Sad day in Razorback Nation. I have a pic of my Niece, Isabella being held by Paul overlooking the field at Razorback stadium on my bookshelf. It will be cherished forever in our household.
