There was a great turn out. 165 shooters.
Gulfcoast will have to tell his tail, but he did well. 25 out of 25 on the 5 stand Saturday.
Redhead shot the eyes out on the sub gauge.

I do not know what Tunica DU did. I do know he had a good time and ran the 5 stand competition Sunday.

Scott Mitchell is a deserving State Champ. He shot a 97 on Saturday, and a 95 on Sunday.

We had a great time and enjoyed visiting with GC this past weekend.

DD, I'll tell you what I done.PITIFUL. I believe my 5 year old could have done better
Don't believe I've ever shot that bad. If I hadn't left my .410 there for RedHead to shoot I would have tied for 3rd or 4th in that class. But I had a lot of fun and ate some good BBQ thanks to Buddy. Good to meet GC even if only briefly. Maybe I'll get my act together. Tried to get Harley to enter big guy-small fry with me but couldn't get ahold of him in time.

Do the folks at the Willows set the targets for the state championship? I pulled targets at the Virginia state shoot last summer and had a ball and was wondering how it worked down here.

I really should start shooting more, but school keeps me too busy to be very good. What did the winner of E class shoot? What are some good shoots for beginning competitors?

Good shoot. Decent targets. Had a nice time, got to meet some good folks like TunicaDU and Redhead, and hang out with DD, and his family for a few days.

The story DD is alluding to is that I missed HOA in the preliminary by brain farting on the last stand and dropping 3 targets, went from HOA to 4th (93). DD was 3d in the prelim (94)and replayed the "choking" story to no less than 300 people. I then shot like a pig for 2 days, but such is life.

The scores were pretty high. I suspect the person who won "E" probably averaged an 87 or 88. The winning scores in "D" averaged low 90's.
