Planting Browntop Millet "The right way"

Postby okieguide » Wed Jun 21, 2006 8:35 am

Please help. I have always wanted to plant a big patch of browntop. I want to plant around 40 acres this year. I have a difficult time getting this stuff to go for me and I always read that it is very easy to grow. So obviously I am doing something wrong, I want to plant mid August so any advice would be appreciated because I want to do it right this time. Thanks

for 40 acres i would get a drill and drill no deeper than a 1/2 inch deep.. if not disk the soil well and spread seed little thicker than what you would drill and cover it with a harrow and or culti-packer.. i got plenty of seed if you need some.. i also have plenty of jap millet too..
