Yazoo City/River Boat Ramp?

Postby Don Miller » Thu Jun 27, 2002 1:25 pm

A group of us are planning an overnight float trip from Greenwood to Yazoo City this weekend. Can anyone tell me if there is a good concrete boat ramp in Yazoo City. If so where is it located. We will have to leave our trailers and truck overnight. Will they be safe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SURE IT IS SAFE TO LEAVE YOUR NEW SUBURBAN AND TRAILER AT ANY RAMP IN THE YAZOO AREA..... go ahead and leave the key under the floor mat.....

sorry for a smart a## answer, but i have been in court all week and am tired of the trashy a## people that we share our world with...

good luck and i hope you have a fun trip... you could borrow my 85 chevy van and feel secure that it would still be there come morning...haha....

Yes, there is a great concrete ramp at the pumping station just beyond the Hwy. 49 bridge, just past the MS Chemical docks. But, no, I wouldn't leave anything there overnight. The ramp is rather secluded and away from town. A friend had his locked truck, 4wheeler, and contents stolen from a driveway in Yazoo this past winter. I htink it would be a risk leaving it there. By the way, where the ramp is is where we used to go parking to make out when I was a young buck in high school there. Oh, if those levees could talk! The stories are great, but the lies are better!
