Did I pass you coming back from Eagle Lake Saturday? If that was you then that must have been the boat your talking about you were dragging behind you.

What is this Boat Worth????

'89 Fisher Marine boat with a 75hp Evinrude motor. Good shape, has decks, live well, and a trailer that is in good shape.

Would like to buy but the price seemed a little high to me, $4000. I am just a little skeptical about the motor because it is not fuel injected. For the most part the motor ran good though, other than dying occasionally when I was sitting still and just gased on it really good. One other minor thing caught my attention ~ the prop had a little bit of slack in it and I could pull and push it in an out ~ it had about an 1/8 of an inch of slack in it. Any thoughts on that? is this normal?

For being a 75hp motor it really didn't impress me all that much however.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this because I am really stumped on what this boat outta be worth.

Alright, I'll dive into this one.

I sold boats for many years, and buy, repair, and sell them from time to time. That doesn't make me an expert, but I know boats pretty well.

If you plan to fish exclusively, the Fisher will be an adequate boat. If you are a stump-jumper during duck season, you may experience leaking problems. All you Fisher owners please don't be insulted, Fisher makes a fine boat NOW, but in '89 they were lacking in stability.

As far as the prop, I wouldn't worry too much about slack, as long as its minimal.
From my experience, Evinrude, especially that model range, is a reliable motor when cared for properly. Did you get to open it up full throttle? Not idling, especially if it was just hooked up to flushing ears isn't a very good indication.

As far as price, I feel like its high. That boat, depending on equipment and overall condition (casting decks, upholstery, carpet, etc.) should be in the $2500-$3500 range, but then again I haven't laid eyes on the boat.
