Larry Templeton has done a good job as AD, IMO. The atheletic budget has stayed in the black while there has been many upgrades to the facilities over the years. Not at easy thing to do at the poorest school in the SEC. I sure as hell don't want another Charlie Carr as AD!

The athletic budget has stayed in the black for years, meaning that msu has made a profit from athletics. To where or whom is that money going? Is sure isn't going back into the athletic programs because everytime something comes up, and there is a need for an upgrade, each program with exception of football at times must raise the money through fundraiser instead of it coming straight from the ath dept. Funny though, the ath depts that are in the "red", all their programs are competitive in everything. The last couple of yrs LT actually went over budget with regards to football, but some secret money came in at the last minute to put us back in the safe zone.

I remember a few yrs ago when Stans need $10K to upgrade is scouting equipment for editing tapes, etc. LT told him to raise the money. I can understand him having to raise it if it was a substantial amount of money, but come on now......$10K.

The football program is getting money slipped in here and there from the dept, but basketball and baseball (the only sports we've been competitive in for yrs) has to raise their own money.

Ron Polk needs about 2 mil to fix the outfield drainage system, been needing it for yrs since the pipes collapsed and the smallest rain floods shallow center and right field. The only reason that the baseball faciltity was pushed ahead of the drainage deal was because the football team needed the indoor turf area more than the baseball team. RP wanted the facility for baseball only, but now he has to share it.

I don't know what went down with the Charlie Carr deal at MSU, but he's been at FSU for over 10 yrs and doing quite well as far as I know.
