What the f are you talking about  , If Ark host a regional its already a sellout, they started taking preorders during the week, I'm sorry if thats boasting, bragging or whatever but thats the facts, jack. The 3 game series against Auburn drew well over 2o,ooo. And again, Ark led the league in overall "ACTUAL" attendence.

Now back to Hoover, I'm surprized that some of you folks didn't mention that Hoover got it re-upped til 2011. Don't ya'll think its time to take the show on the road instead of it being the Alabama Invitational each year, Memphis made a great offer with Autozone park and was brushed off. I think it would have been great to play at the (and this pains me to say it) best minor league park in all of the land. How bout playing it at Nashville, that decision was homerism at the highest form. I'd love for New Orleans to host it, Its time to take on the road and generate more $$$.

You don't think its getting bigtime, well the ACC is going to play its tourny in Fenway in the coming years, how cool is that?, its going to hurt the SEC. They know it. I feel the conference office is getting complacent, Notice that the SEC is not included in the new Sat Night Primetime College games on ABC. each year its always Atlanta for the SEC Championship game in football and most basketball, What about Nashville, and other cities that would clamour for it. How bout the FED EX forum for memphis, its a great facility that being underused with the Tiggers and Griz. Barnum and Baily only comes around once a year. 8)

Stop trying to stick it to me, it fazes me not.

while i love autozone park...... you run into problems with parking, etc in downtown memphis for that many fans...... however, i do agree with you about moving it

One hand - the other hand

Beale St.- Hoover

Platinum - hoover

Tunica - hoover

This is a blatent Monica Lewinski if I ever saw one

NLR is building a fantasitic new Minor league park, so is Springdale Ar Each are costing over 40 million, Hoover is second rate compare to some of the home fields in the league, it sure ain't Baum or Plainsman. its tired and old even with the renos. They shoulda just tore it down and started over

again, like i said, i totally agree with you.... but something has to be done to accomodate the large # of campers/motorhomes that go to hoover for the alabama invitational.

To go along with that list of stadiums you named, Trustmark park in Pearl is also a very nice stadium much nicer than hoover IMO..... that's 4 stadiums within easy driving distance from oxford/starkville/baton rouge/tuscaloosa, etc. Then move it to a stadium in georgia/florida for the next year, rotate em around....

If they ever take the tourny out of Hoover they will have made a huge F. U. C. K. up. No where else can handel it the way they can. I will probably be there Fri-Sun so if any of you guys are gonna be there let me know

Theres a KOA right at the Old Bridge

I don't think so, dk, just a feeling but why not try it. Think we're missing out.

Hell if RVs is a concern then how it here in Fayetteville. The Razorback Road Hog club has a huge RV park just across the stree from Baum. It accomodates all they rvs associated with a football game including the Bama crowd. it has hookups and a bad ass pavilion.

"but something has to be done to accomodate the large # of campers/motorhomes that go to hoover for the alabama invitational. "

Just re-direct those folks to the nearest NASCAR race or tractor pull, and lets have the SEC baseball tourney somewhere fun ---like Memphis Autozone Park --- and closer to other teams for a change of pace, instead of Hooterville. If you can't enjoy a city and downtown area like Memphis, and cannot enjoy baseball without a makeshift trailer park atmosphere, then perhaps you just aren't any fun.

ha, move it to ark, hell almost any sec park can pack the campers in........i agree with moving it, but i dont see memphis bein the place, although i love it there and want to live on the outskirts on day, almost any coach in the sec will tell u that downtown memphis is trouble for their players waitin to happen, everything u listed, tunica, strip clubs, and beale street is something for them to get into, and dont even try to tell me that players know better than to go out and try to have fun when they are the the sec tourney, cause i was a college player, and i know how it goes, almost each one thinks they can go out and still be able to play the game.........

Heck we've got opponents coming into Starkvegas to play State on the weekends and can't play on saturday or sunday because of "food" poisoning.

If these kids from OOS can come into vegas and find some way, form or fashion to get plastered, then think what would happen if you turn them aloose in mempho, hotlanta or nashville.

Those are BS excuses, But with the expansion of Baum again this off season that'll bring seating to well over 10,000, with the use of the left picnic area it'll hold 13,000 way easy. the new park in NLR is going to be nice
