Meridian Gun Club/Maybe Get-Together

We have a new gun club that is up and running but it is currently pretty much pistol/rifle only at this point. No electricity yet, primitive right now. Seems most are into the IPSC (pistol) shooting. There are no plans for skeet/trap but the sporting clays should be functional in July.

Anywho, would anyone be interested in an informal pistol shoot in Meridian?

Maybe when the bugs get worked out of the Sporting Clays we could have a shoot later this summer.

If we have one ,ya'll can forget trying to vote on a date, that is hopeless, I'll pick one and you either make it or you don't!! [img]images/smiles/icon_razz.gif[/img]

My brother would be interested. He shoots pistols and rifles on a daily basis. He and a group of his friends shoot rifles at targets as far off as 700 yards. Send me an email or PM when you can.

I would be very interested in an informal pistol match. Used to shoot IPSC several years ago and I am looking to get back into pistol shooting. An informal match would be perfect.

hey Gulf, i will shoot your 9mm if you will shoot my 45.... i can hit a 5 gal. bucket at 20 ft. everytime..... tends to get hairy out beyond that....haha....

Let's kick the idea around, see if ya'll wanna do sumpin'. June 29th I'll have a better idea of the status of the clay's course.

Right now we have five pistol ranges, one rifle range, gazebo, supply trailer and several fun pistol targets. Dueling rod, knockdown stuff, whirlygig.

Whether we have an event or not, the IPSC crowd shoots every third Saturday, which is open to anyone as far as I know. The range is in the Sonny Montgomery Industial Park behind Lockheed.

I believe the 29th is part of the State Sporting Clays Championship shoot in Tunica. That would let me out, but I would love to try and make the next one.

I have the worlds most inaccurate pistol, even from a Ransom rest, and would love to have someone look at it who can "speak pistol."
