Justin I got some frozen birds that we can work with if you can't find any but I'll ask around.

You could contact Ergon, who could put you in touch with Kearney Park shooting preserve. I know they raise quail on their site, they may pigeons too. Not sure though.

Good luck.

When I was going thru that stage the last time, I got ducks from the "Farmer's market bulletin". You may have to ride a long ways, but they are worth it. I took the ducks and clipped their wings and bound their feet with monofiliment line. We had already done the dead bird retrieve, so I went to the pond with a live bird. It will bless your heart to see that pup learn what it's all about!!

P.S. No, I don't care what PETA says.

You can catch your own pigeons under road bridges at night. I am not sure if this is leagal, but I know you can do it with a dip net and a q-beam or some kind of good light. Just remember where you see them during the day and go back there at night. Around grain train trussels is also a good place.
