I say FACT!!! And no I don't have any stats to back it up and could care less. I hate teams that whip up on everyone in a weak conference and then ESPN starts getting a h&rd 0n for them.

I saw this question on another forum. Some people actually had some decent arguments as to why Arkansas could hang. They have like 20 returning starters including McFadden, who may be one of the best backs in the country. The game is at home. USC is replacing the entire backfield, most of the offensive line, part of their defensive backfield and d-line.

However, I still see SC running away with it. As a matter of fact, as bad as I hate to admit it, with their weak schedule, if JD Booty is solid at QB, they may make a run at the National title.

USC has three all-american QB's on the roster. They signed three all-american RB's this past feb. They still have three top wr's.

Arkie doesn't have a chance in hell, even if McFadden goes off for 200 and 3.

All I know is that I'll be sitting on the 35 lwoer east half way up and see it for myself. The hog might win, stranger things have happened.

As for those QBs, ones out on bond and the other has a bad disk in the back and missed spring completely.

oh yea, flordia goes 0-12
If it wasn't for bad luck then i would have no luck at all........

And what if the Hogs did win? Would it hurt? Do ya'll have such a dislike for me? It would not be a surprize to many if they did pull it off. This team improved every week during conference play last year.
They are now very physical on defense, don't take my word for ask the coaches in the league. The USC game last year was the fisrt true game in a whole new scheme on the defense that had many freshmen playing and they got smoked to high heaven. Thats not the case this year. As for USC got all american this and all american that, last time I looked the SEC was full of them too. Texas is an All American across the board and we have took 3 of the last four agianst them and only fumbled away the one loss. Ark has beat Peyton and Eli. No one in college football is invincible. Mark my words, this is the year it starts to come together up on the hill and just maybe someone in this league will hand USC (and I don't mean Carolina) their booty. What I do know is this, there will be nearly 80,000 Hog fans there Sept 2 under the Labor Day weekend lights ready for some magic. Season tickets are nearly already gone.

It is enlightening to see many of the new recruits enroll in summer school so they can do indivdual workouts and learn the system before the first day of Fall practice. Our freshman qb already knows it inside and out and the others are catching on. Mustain was at every spring practice, observing

Gumbo,

I think Arkansas has a better chance than some around here are giving them. As an LSU alum, I witnessed the change in Arkansas first hand. They gave LSU all they could handle last year. I am not saying the LSU is on the level with SC as a whole, but talent wise there is not much difference if you believe the recruiting publications.

I think the downfall of Arkansas in this game will be at the QB position. Mustain might win the Heisman down the line, but if he starts against SC in his first game, Pete Carroll will make him look bad. Dick should start simply because of game experience.

I look for SC to win by 7 to 10 points but I think Arkansas will lead at the half based on emotion. Would I be surprised if Arkansas wins? Not really. Do I want Arkansas to win? Absolutely. I will pull for any SEC school over a PAC 10 school any day. I don't harbor ill will towards Arkie or Gumbo anyway.

boys...i don't know about this game....USC has a lot of question marks so do the hogs.... I bet it's a close game and if it stays that way through the 4th quarter the hogs have a chance.... but if USC gets up big early, then it'll likely stay that way...although Arkansas will likely have the best RB on the field, i don't know if they are quite ready to win this game, it all depends on where the young kids have their heads....
