More artifact finds

It has been a slow spring for rock hunting. No-till and winter wheat planted everywhere hurt the field hunting over here this year. I have found a few but nothing to blow any skirts up so far this spring.
I did find one artifact I have never found before... a bolo weight. You can see the grooves and use marks on this weight in the picture. The ancients would tie two of these weights with twine... kinda like that old toy called 'clackers' if you grew up in the 70's. They would throw the bolo into a flock of birds or into the legs of an animal to tangle them up and then go in for the kill.
More institu arrowheads finds this spring:
Nutting stone. The small dimple in the stone is where they placed nuts to crack.
Snap-base Kirk
Odd looking angle on this black stemmed point. Musta been used like a knife.
Some flint tools (thumb scrappers, gravers, biface flint knife) and a nice white/clear flint Big Sandy point
Little Bear creek point (the big one), Big flint celt on the bottom and some other stuff.

Pretty cool. Ever mess with them "clackers" much? My little brother had some. I got to messing with them one time and them things got a way from me. Outright dangerous! I could see where that bolo would be effective........

No I hate hunting big game.... deer hunting is just like masturbation... once you get one all you really got is a big mess on your hands.
I like duck hunting and rock hunting.

Sorry F&Wman...
I didn't know how else to describe deer hunting... It's a lonely man's sport.

Is the discussion about rocks, masturbation, or deer hunting or are they all somehow tied together in a sick southern way?

I hunt both and both are very good place to look. Basically anywhere, near a water source, with any type of errosion going on... wind, water, mechanical...
Here is a pintree type point I found in a creek washout...
It has been resharpened so many times it is almost in a drill form.

I know from the old days that those things can hurt your wrist real bad!

Mudsucker,
You ain't a kiddin' about the pain and suffering from the Clackers. Once you got it going and thought you had mastered it, then you had to essentially stop your arm motion, and guess what...a little pounding on your hand - what fun we had!
Now this Tica-tica cat from Alybammy, I grew up with the boy and I'll have to say, he just might have been the .79 cent paddleball champ. I've witnessed him spank it over 300 times without missing. He mastered it while in college at Aubarn. Now he's in to hunting "rocks."
