Last night saw where the name of the team is MISSISSIPPI HEADHUNTERS, w/ a picture of a big buck as the mascot
Said they are considering converting Smith Wills stadium to the arena.
1. Is that a good mascot? IMO, that's fine, since MS is such a hunting state.
2. Do you think arena football can make it in Jackson?

If they serve beer I'll go watch a game or two. It's funny seeing people get clothes-lined tackled over the barrier. I hope they can make it.

personally I don't see any pro sport making it in Miss. if you look back at all of the attempts that have failed, what has changed to make this be a profitable team? list of some past failures.
[/u] Baseball Teams
Jackson Mets, Jxn Generals, Jxn Diamond Backs, then look at attendance of the Braves vs other area teams.
Football
Mississippi Pride
Hockey
Jackson Bandits
Soccer
Jackson Chargers, can't remeber name of other team?

If yu do go, take ear plugs. They like jacking it higher than an ACDC concert.
I assume this is an AFL II team and not the the Big League of the indoor football world if such a thing exists, they'll play Lttle Rock and Tulsa and not Nashville or Dallas for example.

Bout like Memphis, The jury is still out on that can't win a a playoff game NBA team of theirs.
They do have the Redbirds, though.

Brilla is also starting a PDL soccer team that will draw national as well as some international players. I think that it will have a better chance of survival than arena football.

Vinnie Mac has already had one bad football experience, doesn't need another.
He's about to bring back ECW back anyway.

chit boys the odds are that you won't be able to get the local politicians here in jackson to agree on anything..
if the city council has to vote on anything.. its skrewed..
best bet might be out there where the braves play .. bass pro shops area...
