We grabbed 24 fish yesterday afternoon. Not bad being we didn't get to stay long. We had something happen to us yesterday I had never had happen before. We were running some of our barrels and we saw a gator up in front of us (it was in the deeper water). When we got parrallel to the bank with it, it turned and came toward us. We jumped in the boat and it came within approximately 40 yards of us. I estimated it was probablly 8 or 9 feet long. We just paddled on up a bit and then started grabbing again. It didn't follow. I was guessing it probablly had a nest or something on the bank.

About frog grabbin, would steel bayou work. I got easy access to it at my camp.

If ya'll caught 24 this time of year in eagle, you did real good. That's my little pet gator you saw. Sounds exactly like the one that comes around the house all the time.
We really need some dead lakes or sloughs to get some frogs. But they definately can be caught on steele bayou, it's just that it's been up for a while and is now falling. So it's leaving all kind of water in little sloughs and spreads the frogs out alot. Just need to go out there aroud dark and listen an evening or two and the frogs will tell you if they're there or not.
