from rolltide.com
"Alabama has not hosted the No. 1 ranked baseball team at The Joe since taking two of three from top-ranked LSU in 1997. The Bulldogs are just the third No. 1 team to play the Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa, joining Miami (1985) and LSU (1997). Ironically, both of those teams lost the series to Alabama, but won the national championship in Omaha that same year."
for those of u going this weekend, hopefully including myself, have fun, its A-DAY weekend..........which would equal super bulldog weekend here...........

yeah but what folks dont realize is even though its "A DAY" they dont draw very big crowds to thier baseball games, it will equal a mid week game crowd at Dudy Nobel or a crowd like we had the Marist weekend

this is true, but the crowd for the game this weekend will be bigger or at least as big as the box all three last weekend.........bama can bring in 5 to 6 for a game, if i am correct, which i might not be, but i think the biggest crowd for the lsu weekend was alittle of 4 on sunday............what people prolly dont also realize is that si listed msu as the number one place in america to watch a college baseball came a year or two ago........there is really not many schools at all that can even swing a setup like states.........so bama is really not that bad if ur lookin at the sec as a hole.........not comparing to msu, and also there will be almost as many people at the aday spring game as msu brings in for their homecoming game..........

LSU had a poor atten. this past weekend b/c of basketball they can bring it just like state can Everytime I go down there they have a packed house

i agree, lsu did have poor atten........but, the box is a sell out at 7, 760, although they can fit more in there than that, state has been only 9 fans shy of 15,000 before, and that was in the late 80's, 89 to be correct, so, in my opinion, yes, they can bring it, but once again, compare them to the sec and say they can bring it like the most of the sec can, dont compare them to state, cause no one can bring it like state can.

Yeah I was there When the record was set we played Florida and folks were literally sitting in the aisles, LSU can put 10500 easy (they did at the last super riegonal) LSU holds several att. records in the NCAA post sean play

no doubt, ur right, lsu and the box is a historic place to go and play, my only point is(and duckiller u should agree considerin if i poped u duck huntin next year on accident that u would bleed marron and white) that there is no place in the sec to my knowledge( i have played at six of them and seen two more ) that should be compared to state when it comes to making a crowd.........
