i remember all that..... life was good then... so simple and easy... i started with a 50 model chevy truck with a home-made bed... broke the small rear window haulin firewood... no problem, just covered it with a large STP sticker...

I had a metallic maroon 57 Chev with 50 mags, black diamond tuck and roll. Ignition was never locked and a six pack of coke after lunch from the kids who borrowed it to cruise at break.
I was at the end of that era but I think at times what a shame for what we have made the world today.
Left the cities of out West to bring my boys up with solid small town life in a southern town.
Don't regret the move for a minute. But we do hear often, "you ain't from 'round here are ya?" but we are trying.
