I would say that MSU is now officially cursed for the weekend series v LSU, thanks in large part to the bad karma from GH 22.

Nope, won't have anything to do with it.

Yup! Why say such a thing?
Can we get some LSU guys on here to tell us MSU fans what we can expect from their ball club. Should be an interesting series -- wish I could make it down!

well go on and drop the rankings.....#1 to #10 after this sweep....preciate it GH22, we'll know who to blame

of course what will be worse is if we do lose they get to say "We beat the #1 team and didn't even have all of our starters"......that will really make us look good

Just a little of what to expect from the Tigers is the unexpected. Fairly young team mixed with a couple of veterans. Dirks, the normal Friday night starter will not pitch tonight and Daniel Forrer will make his first SEC start. When the Tigers are on, we have a pretty good club, but are very streaky. Much more small ball than teams the past few years. Will make the spectacular and botch the easy. Should be a good weekend. I will probably be out there Saturday and Sunday. Good luck and here's to a good series.
GEAUX TIGERS!

We haven't won a series at LSU in 6 yrs so I don't think it really matters who did what.

If we get swept we'll drop 2 spots like all the other teams that have been #1 this season, Texas had 10 losses and were still in the top 10.

well Bourbon I will take a small ball club over a hr club any day. I know a hr is great but the odds are very low that you will hit a hr at every at bat. All you got to do is put the ball in play. But no mater what there will be 2 good teams playing in Baton Gouge this weekend, I wish I could have gone but the cheapest hotel we could find was $145 a night, we found one for $85 a night but we swore a long time ago we would never stay in it again so it looks like I will be listening to jim ellis this weekend and going to T-town next weekend.
Hey bourbon why are they not starting Dirks tonight?

Dirks is sick as a dog, may not pitch all weekend.
As for rooms, I can get y'all rooms in the $60-70 range a little over an hr from Baton Rouge.

They are not starting Dirks because he has gotten rocked a few times this year. They are looking for a change of pace. I think State will take the game tonight and probably tomorrow. I think LSU wins on Sunday. I don't see State leaving BR undefeated, but I have been wrong many times before. Good luck to MSU but Geaux Tigers!!!
