I was wondering why more of you guys don't get involved in shooting Sporting Clays. I have been shooting off and on for several years but now I AM HOOKED! My wife has even got involved and she shoots too! It was a good feelin the other day when she seen how small our stack of ammo was she told me I had better not run out! It can be as expensive as you make it but It has to be cheaper than Golf and A heck of a lot more fun too.
What is everybody's opinion on this?
I know DD shoots a lot and TunicaDU has got the bug too, but how bout everyone else?

Redhead I have just never been. Lord knows I need to go the way I shoot. I cant even get any of my buds to just go to the camp and shoot a few skeet. Lately it seems my main hobby is cutting grass and that one is getting old quick.

man I love to shoot weather it be skeet, sporting clays or trap. It's big time fun. Can't say I get to go as much as I would like to, but it is a lot of fun. Of course I am really bad at it, but have fun conserving those pigdeons.

I am a little under the shooting weather right now, but for years I shot 1,500 registered sporting targets a year, and about 5K to 10K practice targets. I have a new range a lot closer to me that just opened, so I am hopefully going to be able to pop a lot more caps next year.

The last couple of years, I've shot more than ever. I've gotten a couple more principals and asst. principals started now, so I usually shoot once a week. There are two gun clubs that allow the public to shoot and each of us joined a different private club. That way, we are not shooting the same club and the same angles week-end and week-out. To me , that is the answer to not getting bored with shooting the same set-up. I'm lucky because the Atlanta area has gun clubs all over the place!

Leave the sporting clays alone unless you need a new addiction!!!
I've helped work the Mid South Continental Funshoot for 3 years since it started, live just minutes from the Willows and never cared for shooting clays (never could cook em fitting to eat) and never have shot up there except the duck flush until a couple months ago and now I'm hooked. I love it. Does a body good to get out and away from everything with friends and have a good time. It is addictive but loads of fun!
